National Archives Introductory Session
On Saturday 17th February in the group library, the Kingsley Norris Room at the BMI., a full house endured 2 1/2 hours of me talking about the National Archives, hope to see you on a coach before too long.

The GRO is continuing its pilot service to provide portable document format (PDF) copies of digitised historical birth and death records. The pilot will run until at least January 2018 to enable GRO to assess the demand for this service over a prolonged period.
The records will be delivered electronically and will cost only £6.00, two thirds of the cost of a paper certificate.

Lichfield Record Office closed at the end of 2017.
All archives will be transferred to Stafford and become progressively available from the end of April.
